So I had four $1 off Wet ‘n’ Wild coupons I needed to use, and I have about good things about their lip products, so I gave them a shot. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with most of them, despite their beautiful colors. Let me explain why I’m not happy with these purchases, but still hopeful about them. The colors shown, from left to right, are Birthday Suit, Pink Champagne, Lolly Popstar, and That’s Berry Beautiful.
So, I really like makeup- I outed myself with my most recent makeup post, with all of the lip products I currently own. However, there are some products that deserve to have their own post because I’m using these quite a bit lately. Some skincare items are there, but the majority are makeup. These aren’t like monthly favorites, but products I’ve liked for a while, and may change with new purchases.
Okay, so I jumped on the Maybelline Color Tattoos train (with the shades Bad to the Bronze and Fierce & Tangy), as they’re compared to M.A.C.’s Paint Pots a lot. I use both of these a lot, especially Fierce & Tangy, it’s a nice unexpected base for your shadows- it makes neutrals more coppery. While I’m sad there are not more neutrals or matte colors, so Paint Pots seem a better choice for neutral bases, these are fun to play with. I especially enjoy pairing Fierce & Tangy with my next recent love…
Okay, okay, this review was easy for me because it’s one of my favorite movies. I enjoy animated movies, as for the majority of my childhood, I wanted to be an animator. Honestly, they don’t make good animated movies anymore- usually you have to rely on international to provide that- while there are good movies, they’re just not hand-drawn, and you lose that character and appreciation because it’s easier to make 3D films as opposed to hand drawn.
Anyway, let’s avoid any more ranting, and let’s dive into the review.
Lip products are my weakness- I *always* seem to find a purpose or a story with whatever I pick up a new one, like I have to justify myself. Since there so many shades, formulas, brands, it’s really easy to get carried away. Honestly, some of these I do have buyer’s remorse, that I rode the wave of hype and I ended up not liking it once I actually tried them. Of course, I feel weird returning the items I don’t like, but maybe I’ll give them to family if they don’t feel weird accepting barely used products (yes, I’ll make sure they’re sanitized).
Okay, so my beauty post was popular. I really wasn’t expecting the response I got, but thanks!
So I am going to do a beauty-related post every couple of weeks, so hopefully I’ll keep you all interested enough to wait 😛
Anyway, this batch of makeup is what I’ve been wearing recently. Some are new, and some are tried and true.
Okay, so within the past couple of months I jumped onto the bandwagon of makeup. I was definitely influenced by beauty gurus and bloggers, along with the fact that I was trying a philosophy of ‘Look Good, Feel Better’. Admittedly, I am pretty lazy with makeup, and a lot of times I don’t wear a lot. I do make an effort when I feel like it, because I did invest a lot of money into purchasing these items, and it’d a complete waste if I don’t bother.
Most of these products were purchased within the last two months (some are samples I got from purchasing), aka March and April. Some I have enjoyed, some the initial excitement wore off but I still like and use them, and some I do regret buying. Of course, all of these items will work differently, and while I did do my research, you can’t research how well or badly you react until you actually use them in your normal environment.
I won’t talk about all of them, because it’ll a make a long post worse, but if there’s something that you see and are interested in, I might give my advice on it for a later topic.
After months long of hiatus, I have come back with a fresh movie review! Long story short- my beloved desktop died suddenly, and my inches-away-from-death laptop is not reliable for watching movies. Being a poor college student, I could not afford a replacement until recently, but without further ado, here is my review for The Countess.
